About Air India Express

As India’s first low-cost carrier (LCC), Air India Express runs direct point-to-point services between tier 2 and tier 3 cities and international destinations across the Gulf, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Since its establishment in 2005, it has grown to become one of the biggest LCCs on the India-Gulf route invoking a substantial regional footprint. After the successful privatisation in early 2022, the ownership of Air India Express was handed back to the Tata Group.
